How to use

What a watermark does and does not do

The text is drawn at about 28 percent opacity across the middle of each page, dark enough to read, light enough to leave the content legible. It is written into the page itself, so it survives printing and every viewer. It is a deterrent and a label, not security: someone determined can crop or rebuild the document. For actual confidentiality, control distribution; for removing hidden data before sharing, strip metadata separately. Choose short text — a word or two reads far stronger diagonally than a sentence.

Does PDF Watermark preserve the original quality and text?

Yes. Pages are copied as they are, so vector text stays selectable and searchable rather than being flattened into an image. Only tools that explicitly re-encode images will change the visual data.

Can PDF Watermark open a password-protected PDF?

An encrypted PDF has to be unlocked before it can be processed. Open it in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and then run that copy through the tool.
