Extract PDF Pages

Pulls the pages you name out of a PDF into a new, separate PDF — the counterpart to deleting. Enter 1,3,5-8 and you get a fresh file containing exactly those pages in order. Everything runs in your browser with the pdf-lib library; the source file never leaves your machine.

How to use

1. Pick or drop the source PDF. The page count appears once it loads.
2. Enter the pages to keep, as numbers and ranges: 1,3,5-8.
3. Click apply and download the new PDF containing only those pages.
4. Repeat with different ranges if you need several separate excerpts from the same file.

When you actually need this

• Sending one signed page of a long contract instead of the whole document.
• Saving a single chapter of a report or manual as its own file.
• Submitting just the pages an application form asks for from a longer statement.
• Splitting one section out of a scanned batch that combined several documents.

Extract, split, or delete?

Extracting copies pages out and leaves the source untouched; deleting removes pages from the source's copy; splitting divides the whole file into parts. If you want pages 5 through 8 as a standalone file, extraction is the direct route — the pages carry over at original quality because they are copied, not re-rendered. Page numbers here mean physical position in the file, which in books with front matter often differs from the printed page number, so go by the position shown in your PDF viewer's sidebar. Password-protected files need unlocking first.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere when I use Extract PDF Pages?

No. The file is opened and rewritten inside your browser, so contracts, invoices, medical records and anything else confidential never leave your device. This also means the tool keeps working if your connection drops mid-task.

Does Extract PDF Pages preserve the original quality and text?

Yes. Pages are copied as they are, so vector text stays selectable and searchable rather than being flattened into an image. Only tools that explicitly re-encode images will change the visual data.

Can Extract PDF Pages open a password-protected PDF?

An encrypted PDF has to be unlocked before it can be processed. Open it in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and then run that copy through the tool.
